We are pleased to announce that the 7th International Conference on the Scientific and Clinical Applications of Magnetic Carriers will be held from May 21-24, 2008 in beautiful Vancouver, Canada at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Our meeting is devoted to the preparation, analysis, use and application of magnetic microspheres and nanoparticles in basic and clinical research and will thus cover - Preparation and characterization of magnetic particles and ferrofluids - In vitro applications: specific extraction and separation of cells and other molecules, stem cell research, high-throughput analysis, biomedicine - Nanotechnology, lab on a chip, ultrasensitive magnetic bioassays - Clinical applications: magnetic drug delivery, magnetic fluid hyperthermia, MR imaging, nuclear medicine, cancer treatment, artificial organs, magnetic blood detoxification For details, please check out: http://www.magneticmicrosphere.com/meetings/meet2008 Abstract submission is now open. Please submit your abstract ONLINE by the deadline of March 24, 2008. The same deadline applies to the early reduced registration fee - please also register ONLINE on our website. A few more details: - We will publish the proceedings of the conference as full papers in the "Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials". Deadline for online submission is a week after the meeting on May 31, 2008 – no extensions possible! The format and all other details are like last time, check them out online! - The meeting will include a boat trip; this time in the Burrard Inlet off the shores of Vancouver! - We expect a record participation - so please reserve your hotel room ONLINE as soon as possible.
