Aim of this symposium is to bring together chemists, biologists, engineers, and legislators to discuss necessary precautionary approaches of nanotechnology and to stimulate cost-effective measures to prevent environmental and health degradation. The particular focus will be on safety and sustainability of nanotechnology. This symposium will be organized under four essential topics.
o Nanotoxicology: nanosafety and mechanisms of nano-bio interactions.
o Nanomedicine & Bionanotechnology: biomedical applications, nanomedicines, nanobiosensors, etc.
o Sustainable Nanotechnology: green synthesis, manufacture and characterization of nanomaterials, new techniques and tools for assessing nanosafety and reducing nanorisk.
o Policy & Regulation of Nanotechnology: policy, regulation, economical and societal issues related to the use of nanotechnology and nano-enabled products.
