报告人简介：
Sergei Khakhomov received his Physicist (with honours) from Gomel State University in 1991, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PhD) from Belarus State University, Minsk, in 1997, and Docent Diploma from Highest Attestation Committee, Republic of Belarus in 2000.
From 1991 to 1995, he was a junior and senior researcher at the Department of General Physics, Gomel State University. He was promoted to associate professor and then associate professor (Docent) in 1995 and 1999. He was Vice-Dean of Physics Faculty， Gomel State University from 1997 to 2003, Head of the Testing Center of the Gomel State University and Head of the Department of Optics, Gomel State University from 2003 to 2009. From 2009 to 2010, he was the Dean of Physics Faculty, Gomel State University. And he has been the Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs, Gomel State University since 2010.
His research areas are theory of the electromagnetic and acoustic wave propagation, diffraction in complex media with induced anisotropy, metamaterials.
